The Institute for Common Power’s Truth & Purpose Learning Experience for Educators is an immersive journey through the American South to visit key places and people involved in the long historical arcs of Civil Rights, Voting Rights, and African American experiences in America. Educators selected for the program are given full scholarships to attend. Once they complete the journey, the become Institute Educator Ambassadors.

Educators selected for the trips learn from historical events and contemporary first-hand experiences of people and institutions that did, and are doing, transformative and inspirational work. They come away inspired to create change, work collaboratively, and highlight otherwise ignored aspects of our collective history and culture.
